Hill & White L.L.C. In 1987, Thomas W. Hill, CPA, CVA, resigned his interest in a national firm to begin his own practice in Decatur, Illinois. Mr. Hill began his professional career in 1967 with Murphey, Jenne & Jones, a public accounting firm with offices in Central Illinois. He later became a partner in the firm. The firm eventually merged into a national firm. In 1990, David W. White, CPA, began his public accounting career with Tom, and in 2001 they formed the firm of Hill & White L.L.C. In addition to his duties as a CPA, David consults clients that use Peachtree and Quickbooks computerized accounting systems. He is a lifelong resident of Decatur and a graduate of Millikin University. In 2012, David became the sole owner of Hill & White L.L.C. when Thomas W. Hill retired.
